Baltimore Aircoil Series V closed circuit VF1-1036N-5D closed-circuit cooler (496 tons, 2.2 MW) — modelled

Modelled from the manufacturer's published data — not verified by Baltimore Aircoil. Source: Baltimore Aircoil Product & Application Handbook volume VI, Series V closed circuit engineering data — the model's own row (nominal tonnage, airflow in CFM, fan motor, dimensions) and the sheet's own rating note: a nominal ton is 3 USGPM of water cooled from 95 °F to 85 °F at a 78 °F entering wet-bulb temperature (docs/bac-source.json). The figures below come from this model run against that data; the manufacturer has not reviewed them. Are you Baltimore Aircoil? Claim this page.

CTI STD-201: the line, not this model — Baltimore Aircoil's Series V Closed line is certified (validation C11K-00R03), but this model is not named in the disclosure that covers it, so nothing is claimed for it here: the disclosure names the larger VF1 coolers by their full code (VF1-1012N-4D2AS-O1) where the engineering data prints the stem (VF1-1012N-4D). A stem names a family, not a machine, so nothing is claimed for those twenty rows; the smaller VF1-009-12E generation is named outright and flagged. What the model of it reads against the maker's published tables is a separate question.

BAC's VF1-1036N-5D — a Series V closed circuit closed-circuit cooler, 496 nominal tons (2182 kW): rated to cool 1494 USGPM of process fluid from 95 to 85 °F at a 78 °F entering wet bulb on 123.6 m³/s of air, the maker's own printed airflow, and drawn at those flows with a forced-draft fan on the leaving air, where its nameplate cannot be counted twice against a certified point. The process fluid runs inside a coil under the spray — the evaporative wet-coil model, its two conductances split as the range's own coil volumes say. The model derives the machine's NTU from that one certified point, so it reproduces the rated leaving process fluid exactly and predicts nothing else — one point per model is an input, not a validation. Modelled from the manufacturer's published data — not verified by Baltimore Aircoil. Published as an example; the figures below are solved from this model.
