R22 is a pure fluid. Its normal boiling point is -40.8 °C; the critical pressure is 49.9 bar. At the AHRI 540 air-conditioning rating point — 7.2 °C evaporating, 54.4 °C condensing — the saturation pressures are 6.25 and 21.46 bar, a pressure ratio of 3.43.

Pressures are absolute in kPa and bar, gauge in psig (at 101.325 kPa atmospheric); hfg is the latent heat of vaporisation at the dew pressure; densities are saturated liquid and saturated vapour.
